Halloween

On Firday we had a dress up day, organised by some senior students. They wanted to raise money for the middle and senior school pnatomimes. There are always a lot of extra costs involved with organising a pantomime, let alone two. Thank you so much to the leadership shown by these students.
There were some very scary looking characters around!!!
Click on the pumpkins for activities.

What is halloween? (from Wikipedia 2 Novemeber 2008)
'Halloween is a holiday celebrated on October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and at times in parts of New Zealand.'

Hi,
We dressed up as a witch, vampire and a wolf for trick or treating. What kind of costumes did you wear?
