Volcanoes

Steaming and roaring

Hot red and orange lava

Rarely exploding!

rumbling and steaming

squirting lava and rock balls

The Old Lighthouse

Above me, I saw the sky. It was patchy, with dark grey clouds bowling in, to ruin the bright blue sky. Below the sky, I saw the trees, towering over the house like soldiers. The bare naked trees swayed from the wind, coming in from all different directions, like fairies arriving for a secret meeting with the Queen. Left of the trees, I saw the frozen lake, the ice four times thicker than a seal's blubber. The waves lapped like dominoes collapsing.   Beyond the waves there was an old deserted lighthouse, as white as a page from a book. The house was standing as still as a statue. It was old, hagged and dull.

Grandpa

Grandpa loves gardening and he comes down to Wanaka a lot.  Mum and Grandpa Julse loves doing gardening together.  He is a very good cook.  When he is at our house, he makes really yummy salads and foods for dinner.  Oh, he is SUCH a great fisherman and he's even caught a baby shark!  Grandpa Julse loves eating big meals and having wine.  When he has his meals he laughs and then snorts, while he is laughing.  Seriously, he laughs like a pig!! Grandad is a strong and loving grandad.  He has a smile that shows you that he loves you. His lovely strwberry-brown eyes have a sign that he is the kindest person.  He also is a very friendly Grandpa because he talks to lots of people.  He loves music, especially ' The Eagles'!  His hair is a brown colour, like the most beautiful mountain on a sunny day. Oh, and last of all he listens to stories at dinner time.
