Good morning class.
Today we have Brenden Winder in our classroom. He works for the Queenstown Lakes District Council as a Civil Defence worker. He is here tofday to teach us some things.

• who the guest is and why they are here
• a personal comment about what you hope to learn
• the 'handing over' of the visitor to the audience.

Our speech needed to cover:
• what you are thanking the guest for
• one or two points on what you gained or learnt from the guest
• a closing statement
