How lucky am I to have such an amazing class!! I loved my first day back and can't wait to see all the smiling faces tomorrow. What a team! We began 'All About Me' booklets today and we worked on these when we finished work. These will be completed by Friday. Our books are all sorted and organised ready to use. We already have pictographs in our math's books. We have a reward system using raffle tickets and from these we earn 'Fly Buys' so we can work towards rewards. Today we began reading our shared book and already we have learnt a lot about prediction. We used our experiences to make predictions as we read the bok. We came up with a shared language as we read - being fair, rules are needed to keep us safe and happy, agreements, treaty, without rules their may be disagreements. We are keen to learn more about NZ's Treaty, 'The Treaty of Waitangi' because many of us did not know much about it. With a holiday on Monday for 'Waitangi Day' we are keen to learn more.
